Email Compromise Alert
September 20, 2016
We wanted to let you know some of you may have received an email from us with an "important" attachment. This is NOT
a legitimate email (or attachment) and should NOT be opened. Unfortunately, it appears that one of our email accounts has been compromised and sent out un-authorized emails, along with what appears to have been a PDF attachment.
We have updated passwords and settings on our end to keep this from happening again. However, if you did receive one of these messages and tried to open the attachment, it could have been used to deliver a virus to your computer. To be safe, it's best to run your computer's anti-virus program to ensure that your computer is not infected. Be sure that your virus definitions are current so that you have the latest virus detection on your system.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. As a good general rule, if you ever get an email from someone with an unexpected attachment - even if it's someone you know - do NOT download or open it. Contact the sender of the email directly (by phone or a different email account) and see if it is legitimate.
